KNOW WHAT IT’S WORTH TODAY.
KNOW WHAT’S HOLDING IT DOWN.

Nine questions. Four minutes. No call, no NDA, no listing. You get a value range and the six things I look at before I take on an owner — the same six that move your multiple.

Your business is a diamond in the rough.
This finds the rough.

Your numbers stay in your browser. What leaves this page is anonymous — your state, your size band and your score, so the quarterly benchmark has something to stand on. Your name reaches me only if you ask for the report or book a call.

Your business is likely worth

Two ways from here

Most owners who run this aren’t selling.
That’s the point.

The score is a quality score first. A business that scores well is worth more whether or not it ever changes hands — and it’s a better business to own in the meantime.

I’m not selling. I just want it worth more.

Get the full report: your six scores, what each one is costing you in dollars, and the order I’d fix them in over the next twelve months. Re-run this next year and see what moved.

I want to talk it through.

Thirty minutes with Neil. No cost, confidential, and it does not start a process. Bring the numbers above — we’ll start where the review left off instead of at the beginning.

What happens later

When the day comes, there is a defined 150-day process. This isn’t it. This is day zero.

DAY ZERO

You know the range, you know the six, and nobody else knows you looked. Most owners stay here for years. That is a legitimate place to be.

You are here
THE JOURNEY

Work the list. A business that fixes owner dependence and tightens its books is worth more and easier to run — both, at once, long before any transaction.

150 DAYS

Only when you decide. Preparation, marketing materials, a competitive process, and someone who has sat on both sides of the table.

Who is behind the numbers

Neil Medwed

Neil Medwed

Forty-three years in the technology channel. Twenty-six of them running Preferred Technology Solutions, the MSP he founded in North Texas in 1994 and sold in 2020. Six years after that leading corporate development and M&A for one of the largest MSPs in the country, where he acquired eleven managed service providers. Founder and CEO of MSP Mergers, LLC since September 2026.

He has been on both sides of this table: the owner deciding what happens to his employees and his customers, and the buyer running the numbers on someone else’s life’s work. That is why this review asks what it asks.

“It is my belief that one is ultimately judged by the number of people who you positively impact in your life.”

A valuation tool that will not show its working is an advertisement. Here is the working.

Cost to replace you

Defaults to $105,770, the US median annual wage for General and Operations Managers (SOC 11-1021), Bureau of Labor Statistics, OEWS May 2025. It is a field, not a constant: change it to your market.

The multiple ladder

Set by adjusted earnings, then moved by the six factors. This is our model, not a published market survey, and it is deliberately conservative at the small end.

The range

The multiple plus or minus 0.6 turns. A range is where a conversation starts, not where it ends.

What it is not

Not an offer, not an appraisal, not a listing. Arithmetic on figures you typed yourself.
